Acoustic Applications

Acoustic devices like loudspeakers and microphones are equipped with mechanically stable and acoustically permeable wire mesh media to cover sensitive membranes. SolidWEAVE metal wire mesh is the basic material for them.

Noise Attenuation/Noise Reduction

Another steadily increasing area of application is noise attenuation and noise reduction. Due to the special structure of acoustically optimized metal meshes, they operate on the basis of the Helmholtz resonator principle as very effective sound suppression elements. Here, the SolidWEAVE metal wire meshes are mechanically very robust and at once temperature- and corrosion-resistant.
