GEKUPLATE / Wire Mesh Laminates

SolidWEAVE – GEKUPLATE for the mechanically most challenging tasks

In applications in which fine filter media must fulfill mechanically challenging tasks, GKD wire mesh laminates (GEKUPLATE) or sintered plates made of mesh are used.

Reinforcing by sintering wire mesh layers

Highly stable structures are produced by sintering several wire mesh layers. They exhibit the same characteristics of surface filtration as a single, but mechanically more instable mesh layer of the same fineness would exhibit it.

GEKUPLATE elements are used as inherently stable, backflushable filter cartridges in solid-liquid filtration and in hot gas filtration. Other areas of application are customized constructions in centrifuges and nutsch-type filter systems.

Customized mesh combinations

By combining several meshes in layers, the possibilities of designing an optimal solution according to the customer's specific requirements are limitless.

Examples of this are the already developed separate product line for the fluidization of bulk solids and for quenching in the textile fibre industry.
