Plain Dutch Weave
SolidWEAVE – plain dutch weave for filtration applications
Plain dutch weaves are a key feature of GKD filter meshes; they are available from a fineness of 40 µm up to a fineness of 300 µm.
Closed mesh surface
The meshes are manufactured in plain weave pattern (1/1), whereby the warp wires are interwoven with wider spaces than the weft wires. The surface of the plain dutch weaves is closed so that the filtration occurs at the point where warp and weft join.
High mechanical stability
Unlike the square meshes, considerably higher mechanical stabilities result. The meshes which are kept in stock ranging from 40 µm nominal to 150 µm nominal cover the majority of the meshes required in industrial filtration.
These plain dutch weaves are used, for example, in drum filters, nutsch-type filters, cartridge filters and vertical pressure leaf filters. Stainless steels 304 (1.4301), 316 (1.4401) and 904L (1.4539) are materials kept in stock.
