Edges

The edge of a process belt requires special treatment. The mesh bond of the warp and weft threads is stronger in the center of the mesh than within the range of the edge; the edge must therefore be reinforced. Other reasons for coating the edge, which do not proceed from the belt itself, are belt control and process-related technical requirements, for instance.
