Web bonding and Drying Technical Textile Fabrics

For decades WEAVEinMotion process belts have been developed process-specifically by GKD in collaboration with users and plant manufacturers from metal, synthetic material or a combination of both materials. These belts are used in various stabilization and drying applications in the nonwovens and hygiene industries, as well as in textile finishing.

Thermostabilization and Drying of Nonwoven Materials

In web bonding GKD process belts demonstrate their productive capacity in calibrating two-belt dryers even with the heaviest fouling. Their custom mesh design made of bronze, stainless steel, synthetic material (PPS, PEEK) and steel or a customized combination thereof optimizes even the most exacting thermobonding processes. A magnetic upper belt underpins the precise calibration.

The process belts made of metal, PPS or the combination thereof woven to customer specification have the right makings for use in one-belt dryers. Optimal cross-stability and running properties – even at high speeds – make them a pioneering solution for the successful drying of nonwovens.

Cross-stable and robust, GKD process belts meet the special expectations that are put on high-performance belts. The most important requirement criteria are optimal flatness, non-marking pin seam connections and precise edge work (edge welding, edge coating) able to resist wear.
