Wood Working

WEAVEinMotion process belts and press meshes for the wood industry are customized solutions and guarantee absolute reliability even in demanding applications. GKD FLEXOPLAN® caul screens and process belts are bywords for press meshes and drainage meshes in the industry. Designed to meet the needs of the specific customer, they are used in single- and multi-stage presses and continuously operating systems for the manufacture of chip boards, MDF boards, OSB boards and hard particle boards.

Our smoothly woven stainless steel meshes and our Tela MicrodurM™ in twilled weave are proven classics among the press draining meshes for the fabrication of FB (fibre board) hard particle boards in the wet process.

Our custom-designed GKD CONDUCTO® mesh types 2206 and 5090 are used in prepresses to manufacture chip boards and MDF boards. GKD CONDUCTO® 5065, also made from PES, is used as a dryer belt in the production of wood pellets and wood briquettes. Antistatic and certified by ATEX, GKD CONDUCTO® synthetic mesh with woven-in bronze wires minimizes electrostatic problems while increasing quality at the same time.

Multiplex boards are an example of GKD press meshes / imprint meshes. They are used in countless fields in the industry, but in private homes too. WEAVEinMotion square meshes made from PPS provide the corrugated surfaces. This special surface structure ensures sufficient hold and provides the requisite safety as a result. The truck bed is the most familiar example of the application of a multiplex board with structured surface.
